I tried it and could not download either. I got some pop-up window that streamed a version of the songs.

dead.net is part of rhino dire and more likely the one's who changed the policy.phil, bobby, mick and billy gave all that up for ten years except for what shows meet their approval for release.poor bob gets blamed for everything and the ones who started it all billy and mickey get off free lol.

Agreeing with ya---Bobby's getting way too much credit/flack for all of this. As usual, lawyers are really the ones to blame. The GD had to give up their daily control years ago because they'd be too busy making business decisions instead of playing music---Phil said as much in his book.

I may be somewhat alone in my opinion that despite what anyone said about "we're done with & they (heads) can do what they want", it is THEIR legacy, intellectual property that THEY should have a certain amount of control over. We do have the ability to continue trading, & DL'ing from sites, whether they be SNBRD's or AUD, so really, nothing's changed. I WILL continue to buy the releases I want to, because I do enjoy the "officialness" of it. AND, I will continue to DL & trade what I want when it's "legal" & appropriate.

Tiger---it may even be arguable that your JGB vol's every week are copyright infringement. Did you consider that? I'm not busting on you, but ultimately all you need is a good arguement & you could prove ANYTHING. While I don't see anyone raising cain over it, you never know when that cease & desist order will come through.

I was a bit surprised that they (rhino) were allowing downloading from the start. Hard to believe they already know what they never plan to release commercially.
